Where has the time gone? (10 months)

Dear Jericho,
Why are you growing up so fast? Is it because you are excited to make an imprint on the world... other than in your Mommy's heart? You are blowing my mind with all of the things you do. Your smiles, your girly screams, your steps. They are all going by so fast. I told your Dad the other night how I remember when you were freshly new and how we lived our life day by day, hour by hour, depending on your feeding or sleeping schedule for that time. We've gradually progressed to you sleeping through the night most nights around the time you were 10 months old. I appreciate it.. It's nice to get a good night sleep. Even when you don't sleep through the night, you are up one or two times a night. I sometimes look forward to those nights because I sneak you into our bed and we cuddle together in our dreams.
Waking up with you is comical. You will wake up by either hitting or kicking me during your stretches or attempt to get your blanket in just the right position. Then you peak your little head up after rubbing your eyes, turn away from me and start hitting Daddy in the face and say "Dada Dada Dada" until he opens his eyes and says good morning. Sure, I could stop you from hitting him, but I don't think he minds because he's always in love with how you say Dada. There's no "MAMA" there's only Dada. As jealous as I am.. I let you guys have your morning time together when you beat him. :)
Well, Happy April. April is the month of Easter. I'll spare you the entire saga of Easter but in addition to Easter we celebrate the coming of spring. Spring is a great season.. if you're not in the desert. Grass greens up, trees sprout leaves and animals move about with their newly born babies. In the desert, we get nice weather and maybe a couple showers. So that you were not deprived of the beauty of spring, I took you to California for Easter... on your 2nd trip to California on an airplane. Of course you did wonderful and you had a lot of fun. You met the Easter Bunny
Welcomed spring in Grandma's backyard. See how pretty the grass and the flowers are?
Met the Turtles.. and tried to yank one of their heads off.

You took some time out of your busy day to pose for a picture with me ...

and played with Easter Eggs. We were determined to teach you how to put eggs in the basket for Easter the next day. It was a success.
Then Easter came. We went to Great Grandpa's house. You were fantastic. You got all of the easter eggs I handed you and you would put them in your bucket. Then you would dump out the bucket and start putting the eggs back in.

You also met your second cousins and paused for a photo op

We came home on Easter evening and got home a little past your bedtime. The Easter bunny had apparently come in the morning and left your basket on the counter. It was all ready for you.

You really liked your Easter basket. It was filled with fun stuff for you to play with. See that bunny right there.. You love him. He's your buddy and you were sleeping today during nap time holding the bunny by his ear so that he didn't go anywhere while you were catching up on your sleep.
